I respect the rights of all the artists I profile and review on this blog. Therefore, any photos that appear here have been approved by the artists or their representatives. If I believe an artist's work is worth highlighting here but I am unable to obtain a photo, I will attempt to reproduce the artwork by sketching it and will post my sketch so readers can get the gist of what the piece looks like. (Actually, I've pretty much given up on getting photos; drawing is much more fun anyway, and I believe it both respects the artist's work and the longstanding tradition of art students learning by copying the masters.)
